Abby Ortega, a Civil Engineer from Colombia, is a former researcher at the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources Management from the Center for Development Research (ZEF) - University of Bonn. She has experience in building flood resilient cities through comprehensive Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) planning. Abby has been in contact with the SEE-URBAN-WATER research group since last year and participated in the workshop with project partners from Costa Rica in Hannover, Germany, in August 2022.
Ricardo Bonilla, also a Civil Engineer from Costa Rica, is a former researcher from the Research Center for Sustainable Development of University of Costa Rica (CIEDES-UCR), with expertise in Hydrological Modelling in the Quebrada Seca-Rio Burio watershed. Ricardo has been involved in the SEE-URBAN-WATER project as a PhD student with a DAAD-CONARE scholarship since 2019.
